The Pedagogical Psychological Service of Marijampolė Municipality was established on 22 December 2003. It is an educational aid institution, the purpose of which is to identify the personality and educational problems of a pupil (child), to assess special educational needs and determine their level, to prescribe special education, to provide educational aid to pupils (children), to coordinate it, and, in individual cases (where instructed to do so by the executive authority of the municipality), to provide psychological aid to teachers or other employees of an educational institution who have been abused or have experienced violence in an educational institution.

Budgetary institution. 
Data is collected and stored in the Register of Legal Entities of Lithuania.
